In this workshop we will be visiting some of the most beautiful locations Iceland has to offer, while keeping a flexible Itinerary to make the most of the weather mother nature gives us.

NOTE: On the 12th August there will be an solar eclipse visible from Iceland so this is a perfect oportunity to

extend your trip and witness one of the most spetacular natural phenomenom.

  • In a nutshell

On this 8 day adventure with Thor we will be travelling in Iceland but unlike most regular workshops we will not have a set itinerary. This tour is lightweight and agile.

Our flexible Itinerary will allow us to make the most of the weather we are given and go where the weather will be best for our photography and camping.  The main driving force behind our itinerary will be the Icelandic weather forecast. We can go anywhere, any time!

Early August is a great time to visit and camp out in Iceland plus it's pretty much guaranteed that most if not all of the roads in the highlands are open.

Our goal for this workshop is to split our time between the highlands in the interior, and some of the beautiful waterfalls and seascapes around the coasts, but as already mentioned this Itinerary will remain fluid and flexible to allow us to make the most of the weather we are given, and go where the weather will be the best for our photographic goals!

This workshop is covering some of the best areas in the Iceland, but since the weather can be changeable in Iceland we try our best to keep one step ahead and plan our locations accordingly.

  • Getting to Iceland

You want to fly into Keflavík international airport ( KEF)

From there you you have options of either take a Taxi or the flybus to Reykjavík.

It's about 40 min drive from the airport to your hotel.

  • Physical Requirements:

This workshop will include some moderate hikes on uneven ground and loose gravel. We'll not take on any serious hikes but getting to a little bit elevated view in the highlands is very rewarding and gives you a great and unique perspective. You need to be able to carry your own equipment during the hikes, which some are up steep hills.

Note: we do not aim for more than 1 -2 hour hikes for each location but there are options :)

Before we leave Reykjavík we'll have a chance to pick up any gear you may have rented.

We will provide all cooking utilities such as BBQ, table, chairs, cutlery etc.
    We'll provide a comunal tent.

You will be responsible for your own food. - We will have opportunities to eat on the road and on other occasions we will have a BBQ at the chosen campsite of the day. There will be opportunities for buying groceries along the way.
