We start in Reykjavík, we must keep our itinirary flexible since we will base exact location choices on weather and best conditions for photographing each time. This tour covers Snæfellsnes peninsula home to the famous Mt. Kirkjufell and other fantastic location and the South Coast which is home to many of the most picturesque locations in Iceland like Jokulsarlon, Vik, Skaftafell, Vestrahorn along with miles of black sandy beaches and a host of majestic waterfalls
This 9 day / 8 night photographic tour is designed purely with photographers in mind and at a time of the year when we should be experiencing amazing light. Thor knows his home country like no other, and this trip is shaping up to be one epic adventure.
This 463m high pyramid shaped mountain is a high priority location to many of our clients, whether it be in summer or winter time and no wonder why.
This mountain is probably one of the most photographed mountain in the world and for good reason. The Kirkjufellsá river with its beautiful waterfalls make a magnificent foreground for this majestic mountain creating a perfect combo in all conditions.
During winter time this location is ideal for fantastic northern light scenes.
Day 4-5-6 : ( 26th-28th Nov )
Glacier lagoon will be our playground for the next few days. But before we get there we need to drive most of the south coast so we will stop at hand picked location.
The Glacier lagoon area is probably one on the most famous places in Iceland with its floating icebergs. Just below the lagoon is the mystical diamond beach. On one of the days we are staying in this area we will visit Vestrahorn, a raw mountain with many compositional options like sand dunes, reflection and waves.
If conditions will allow we will visit an ice cave.
Accommodation close to the Lagoon.
Day 7: 29th Nov
After shooting sunrise at the lagoon we will start to make our way west towards Vík where we will be photographing the stunning seascapes of Dyrhólaey and Reynisdranga amongst other things.
Accommodation near Vík

This is our last day on the road. We will shoot a sunrise near Vik and then checkout of our hotel and start making our way back towards Reykjavik. along with the majestic waterfalls of Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss amongst other things. We explore part of the Golden Circle which holds the famous sputing hot spring Strokkur, wich erupts reglularly shooting boiling water 25 to 30 meters in the air.
Gullfoss waterfall is nearby so we'll pay it a visit.
We will be overnighting in this area giving us a more opportunity of shooting this area after hours, preferably with some norhtern lights.
There are only 3 black churches in Iceland and one of them is situated on the Snæfellsnes peninsula. There is some kind of a mystical feeling visiting this church, surrounded with lava fields so close to the ocean.
Lóndrangar are a pair of rock pinnacles 75 and 61 meter tall. This scenery with the waves crashing in on the rough cliff littered coast makes for a fantastic picture.
We'll shoot sunrise before we leave the peninsula and head towards Geysir area, depending on the weather and the conditions we might stay a bit longer and explore more of the peninsula.
