If you want us to recommend a specific itinerary for your tour, we are happy to help. We have travelled all over and around Iceland multiple times, photographing the extraordinary landscapes and feasting our eyes on the colourful scenery, Experiencing the perfect stillness of the highlands and filling our minds with the endless beauty of this amazing country we feel so priviledged to call our home. And now we want to share this with you and let you in on our secrets.
THE SOUTH COAST PHOTO TOUR
The south coast of Iceland is by far the country's most diverse area for travel and the atmosphere and lighting conditions in these parts can be out of this world. This area boasts some of the country´s most stunning waterfalls and the landscape is rugged and extremely colourful, On one hand you may have majestic glaciers and on the other black beaches pounded by the rough seas, or luciuos green pastures and friendly brooks,
The destination on this tour is the unspoiled highland nature .
This is an exceptional place for photography where we encounter lava fields, jet black volcanic sands streching for miles, mountains covered with bright green moss and colourful craters filled with water.
The highland is covered in geotheramal hotspots and previous volcanic activity is often evident, a tell tale sign of the gigantic forces ar work, some a few hundreds years ago and others only decades old.
The best known location in the highlands is probably Landmannalaugar where we will see colourful rhyolite mountains.
This place is like nothing else you‘ve seen before.
Only a few hours drive from Reykjavik lies the magnificent Snæfellsnes peninsula with its colourful lava fields, volcanic craters, small fishing villages, stunning waterfalls and lava caves. And above it all rises Snæfellsjökull glacier, the entrance to the centre of the earth according to the novelist Jules Verne.
Available day tours, two day tours can be arranged on request.
THE GLACIER LAGOON
Tours to Jökulsárlón are only available as multi-day tours.
Jökulsárlón (Glacier Lagoon) is one of Iceland's most visited places for good reason. It is a pure natural piece of constantly changing art and a spectacular sight in any weather or light.
The lagoon is situated below the largest glaciers in Europe Vatnajökul. We never get tired of visiting this ecological phenomenon and everchanging scene with its floating icebergs and shatterd ice on the black sandy beach.
The Golden Circle is a classic day tour when visiting Iceland. Thingvellir, Gullfoss and Geysir attract thousand of visitors every week all year round. Since crowds of other people tend to get in the way of a good photo-shoot, we have tailored a different route. You will see the famous threesome and your chances of privacy are much better with us than with the crowded big business buses.
If you wish to hunt for Aurora Borealis or the Northern Lights, we offer guided tours to unique locations free from light pollution. From September until April the Northern Lights are quite a common sight here in Iceland, if the conditions are right. Tours will only happen if it appears to be more than 70% chance of visible Aurora. If the conditions are not right, and the lights are not likely to be seen, we offer a full refund or will reschedule your tour for no additional fee.
Available 4-6 hours trips, or longer if needed.
